I’ve been so busy lately, but have found a little breathing space to go out and work on new designs, to do laundry, to organize things around the house…

It’s so much fun making jewelry for people – I feel like I get to be a small part of their lives. When I make something that is personalized, I imagine what the word or phrase will mean to them as they’re wear their bracelet, necklace, or rings. It’s a joy.

The reason I do these giveaways is really because it gives me another excuse to make something special for someone. Of course, doing giveaways is really good advertising – for the time, labor, and materials it costs me to make something for free, I get a lot of buzz going. But I was doing giveaways before I even realized what an effective means of marketing it is.  That’s because I just love what I’m doing right now, and you are a big part of that. If I was just making jewelry and putting it in a box somewhere, that wouldn’t be fun for too long. And I can only wear just so much stuff. So it’s really cool that I get to make something that someone will wear, as a piece of art.

Ruby sterling earrings for July

I recently updated some design elements on this bracelet, and to celebrate that, I’m giving one away to the winner of a random drawing. On Friday, May 15, I will use a random number generator to select the winner, who will receive one of these sterling bracelets stamped with a phrase or word of their choice.
